The Sustainable Events Management Guide
The Sustainable Event Management Guide (SEMG) was prepared with incubation from Jordan Environment union in response to ISO MENA STAR Project, aims to promote and enhance implementing the ISO standards for sustainable development in the Middle east and North Africa.
It is the first guide in Arabic Language to serves as a reference guide for organizing Sustainable Events Activities to minimize the Environmental, Social and Economic Impacts associated with organizing events.

The UN 10 year framework program on sustainable consumption and production 10YFP requires minimization of the Environmental, social and economic impacts from providing services and the associated activities, Jordan Law No. 6 of 2017 on Environmental Protection and the General Waste Management Framework Law promotes the extended producer’s responsibility and pollutant pays, in addition to the SDGs and Climate Change mitigation requirements all are emerging issues and drivers to promote sustainable events management based on the international standards.
Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) Jordan has supported the publication of the guide and facilitating tools for implementation as part of their regional climate and energy project in MENA Region

A means of visual communications tools of signage and free standing banners were facilitated to demonstrate visually some of the main themes of the sustainable events, all tools are incorporating the corporate identity of the guide including the implementation team vests.
